# Understanding of Traditional C-Suite Functions

**Prerequisite:** A working understanding of the historical baselines of C-suite roles — the **CFO** (technical accounting, auditing) and **CHRO** (employee relations, compliance).

**Why it's needed.** The source assumes the reader knows what these roles traditionally did in order to grasp how radically they are shifting toward predictive analytics and systems architecture. Without this baseline, the magnitude of [[claim-cfo-evolution]] (reporting → predicting), [[claim-chro-evolution]] (administering → architecting), and [[concept-talent-systems-architecture]] cannot be appreciated.
