# Strategy Under Pressure

Corporate strategy is often crafted through long planning cycles, heavy governance, and extensive consensus-building. PE environments strip away these luxuries, demanding that strategy be formulated and executed under constant time pressure. Leaders cannot set strategy from a distance; they must get **into the fray** and translate direction into immediate action.
